Dither if you can

May 29, 2022April 24, 2022 by Al

For a better, smoother background sky…. Dither if you can. So midway through last year, I stumbled on several YouTube videos touting the benefits of Dithering. I’d been living in my little world, just doing my AP, struggling with the usual demons (weather, wind, guiding, focus, etc.) and getting the usual results. I had no … Read more

The OLD and NEW Alberts-Astro:
Aside from this blog, I used to keep an astronomy page where I had info on my equipment and gallery of the images captured. This Blog has replaced it, Galleries and all. I saved everything that was there, but all the Astronomy related info is now here. To directly land on this blog, just add this page to your bookmarks (ctrl-d).

We moved!
Searching for fewer cloudy nights, we moved east. This new blog finds us relocated in Wenatchee, WA. This is a somewhat rural town in the valley of the Columbia river, east of the Cascade mountains. Sadly, the light pollution and seeing is pretty bad down here in the valley. However, it's much better up on bluff to the northeast. That's where I found my site to do astrophotography and observing. Hope you can find your happy place too.
